A professor from China talked about this, from China! He's referring to what is happening in Egypt today. But he equates the turmoil with disparity with economic, among others, factor. Sure he's a professor, but don't he heard about Nepal? Until recently, it is country with monarchy system. Then they shifted to a full fledged democracy, but with the economy still not as strong as the west. Still there is nothing like Egypt.
The question here is, the elected leader is not sanctioned by the powerful one. This leader is a commoner in the circle of leaders. I wonder why on earth did this professor get the idea. Unless, I supposed, even China is now in the same league with the powerful one. Of course.

democracy of the people, by the people, for the people?
what happened in Egypt today really tells about democracy. Government in democracy is not about 'of the people, by the people, for the people (Abraham Lincoln, 1863). The man threw those words during war, for heaven sake. Today, it is not about rule of law, people respecting law and other rhetoric words that come out from the powerful one (I'm also looking at you, Uncle Sam). Democracy today means 'electing leader by means of arm who is endorsed by some other powerful one through the the voting process'. The consequence is simple, for those elected leaders but unwanted by the powerful one, remove them by arm, redo the orchestrated election and back the newly elected leaders using arm. Truly world is govern by certain powerful one.

most popular leaders in democracy, election world
I still remember how a previous leader in Egypt had a popular vote of almost 4/5. Forget about the 2/3 majority. With that kind of majority, he not only could amend whatever law that need 2/3 majority, but he could practically do anything. But, that was only next to what once a leader of Iraq received for a presidential 'yes' vote - 100%. I repeat, 100%. It happened not very long time ago.
So, this is democracy.
So, this is democracy.

Guided Democracy
Just like guided missile, guided democracy guides the people to certain (in favour of the guider) objectives. And also like the guided missile, it is destructive. It is also can be bought, like the missile. Am I talking rubbish? Just check about guided democracy on the net.

democracy in Turkey
Hello people of Turkey. Show us your definition of democracy. Is it all about a park? Really? Perhaps we need to turn to Linkin Park as well to have the insight of democracy!

democracy replaces democracy
There is a discussion in law text books about could a house of representative pass a law which could not be repel by a later session. Could a house pass a law which would harm a member of the very society they are supposedly represent? Could a winner of an election bring down by undemocratic forces then replace by a new winner through yet another election? What kind of questions are these. Rubbish democracy?

Egypt and democracy
I believe I had written not long ago about Greece and democracy. Today, Egypt shows us the fallacy of democracy. Forget about the theory on how minority can rules due to democracy's technical failure. Egypt shows that minority is indeed rules above the majority. Last time I showed how democracy could eventually lead people to self-destruction. Today Egypt shows that democracy is an indefensible system. It is the people with 'real' power who rules in any country.
What is democracy? The answer lies in Metallica's 'One'.
What is democracy? What is democracy? It got something to do with young men killing each other, ArthurWhat if its my turn, will you want me to go?For democracy, any man would give his only begotten son
Why do I chose Metallica's definition of democracy? Well, perhaps democracy is just like a heavy metal.

collapsed of things
lot of things have their existence ended recently. with the cessation of them, comes the end of an era. I've probably live quite a long time on this earth. I've seen the collapsed of capitalism economies, several times, collapsed of a political system (communism) the collapsed of humanity (the many wars that I've witnessed), collapsed of great oppressors (dictators), collapsed or disintegration of countries, collapsed of governments, collapsed of societies, collapsed of giant corporations, disintegration of empire, end of great leaders, and the hell of other things that have fallen.
I've probably live quite a long time on this earth.

what else
... reboot,
yea, certainly, what else? you want to change the world? sure you can, change your own world. live in illusion. just keep on thinking how are people in Syria live their life. compare them to yours. well them and us are the same... surpressed by who ever, even by the very people you have elected. not their fault, neither yours. the thing is that we're on the wrong side. just image if we're on their side, we may end up as the same creature. most probably. so where is the ending? there must be a solution...

Creation of a Nation: The destruction of One Party Rule
The Destruction of One Party Rule
1 | And at last there came two parties to the election; and the old guard at one end: and the new guard at the other end; and they both bowed to the people;
2 | and they said, Behold now, my fellow people, turn in, I work for you, into your house, and all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.
3 | And they pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.

office politic and politic
yea, you don't read it wrong. it is the office politic plus the politic. then what will you get at the end? a corrupt organisation is the answer. I had the experience. just imagine. I work with the owner of a facility. I was involved in a plumbing work that worth a peanut. but due to the office politic and the 'outside' politic, the project was really a stupid one. it was reported some of the users staged a protest. what the hell? all of this because the person who rented one of the outlets was a political man. that's a double stupid. and I just felt to throw out just because I told you this story.

polling day
it's finally annouced when was the polling day. the nomination day will be happening on the day of Hitler's birthday. while the polling day 2 weeks after that. for those who are into the politic, I would say good luck. but for me, it will change nothing. I'm still without any luck. still without light at the end of the tunnel.

election
we're entering an election period. in some places, election can be conducted without much hype. but in other places election is a time of chaos. this is also the time when a peasant can put their 'say' into 'action'. they say regardless how much money that one has, each of us can only vote once. sure it is. but it is only a momentary moment: only during one marks their choice on the ballot paper. then, the peasant will once again be the 'tool' of the one 'with more money', or to those with power. not so much to proud of. I wonder when is the last time when the rich or the people in power really look after the commoner without any commercial or political agenda inside their head.

The Greek and the Cyprus and the kings
today the Cypriots are facing an axe from the big brothers. again the commoners are denied of their right. in the name of a 'country', they said. sacrifice those laymen to save the nation which they, the commoners, are making up most of the population. true enough sometimes kings were slayed in the name of the country. but, more often than not, they were replaced by another tyranny. those tyrannies kept on replacing each other. they essentially the same. it was always the commoners who have absolutely nothing to do with the ruling class are the ultimate victims. always.
no matter what system do you have, commoners are ever depressed. communism, democracy, kingship, fighter-led nations, every each of it ended with tragedy to the common people. every time. people with power shall never look at those lowly people. but their words are different. not that the commoners believe in those uttered speech. they not even bothered. and as usual they'll suffered.
